Arrive at Delhi by international flight. A KVT representative will meet you at the airport and assist you to the vehicle. Delhi, the vibrant capital of India, offers a captivating blend of rich history and modern tradition that charms every traveller. Later we will be transferred to hotel. We proceed to Old Delhi and visit Jama Masjid – the largest mosque of Old Delhi built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Later go for an exciting cycle rickshaw ride through lively thoroughfares and bustling alleyways of Old Delhi market rarely visited by typical tourists. Arrive at Khari Baoli and see Asia’s largest wholesale spice market. Our exploration continues as we drive past historic colonial landmarks, such as Rashtrapati Bhawan, Parliament House, and India Gate—a poignant memorial dedicated to soldiers of the First World War.

Morning we drive to the capital city of Rajasthan, Jaipur (5 – 6hrs drive). Jaipur, popularly known as the “Pink City”, is one of the important heritage cities with a rich cultural heritage and colourful past. Evening we visit the local home to witness and participate in the cooking demo where you will get the chance to learn about the process of making two to three local cuisines. Later enjoy a discussion over dinner with the host and get to know about the unknown facts about the city.

Early morning ride around this wonderful pink city, cycling through its fascinating narrow laneways. Passing Havelis (private mansions) and sacred temples, head for the majestic Albert Hall, which was built to welcome the Prince of Wales on his visit during 1870s. Along the way, stop at popular food stalls where one can sample what the local people enjoy for breakfast. After the ride, back at the hotel to freshen up before heading out for a wonderful day of sightseeing. We visit the fascinating Amer Fort – the hilltop fort built by Kachwaha dynasty ruler Man Singh. Further we visit Jantar Mantar (Solar Observatory) – an astronomical treasure house with solar devices that give accurate predictions till date. We will drive past Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) – a five-storied structure of pink sandstone, specially built as a high screen wall for the women of royal household to observe the street festivities without being noticed from outside.

After breakfast we drive to the “camel country” of Bikaner (5.5 – 6.5hrs drive). Bikaner is a culturally rich city in Rajasthan offering a unique blend of history, architecture, and desert landscapes. Upon arrival at Bikaner we proceed for a visit to the National Research Centre on Camel – only one of its kind in Asia, this centre is a place to learn about camel breeding and enjoy camel rides and milk products. After the visit we will proceed to the hotel and check in to our rooms.

Bikaner offers a range of attractions including Junagarh Fort, Karni Mata Temple, Rampuria Havelis and so on. After breakfast we will visit the Junagarh Fort – a 16th century fort known for its intricate architecture, palaces, temples, and courtyards. It is one of the few street levels fort in India. We will then proceed to Rampuria havelis – a cluster of beautifully preserved mansions showcasing the city’s architectural heritage. These grand red-coloured mansions adorned with intricate carvings and vibrant frescoes, is a testament to the region’s opulent past. Later we ride deeper in the Thar Desert, also known as the Great Indian Desert. Afternoon we drive to the desert town of Jaisalmer (5 – 6hrs drive) and upon arrival check in to hotel. The historic city of Jaisalmer, often called the “Golden City,” is famous for its yellow sandstone architecture, ancient forts, and desert culture.

After breakfast we visit the city of Jaisalmer and see the Golden Fort – a UNESCO world heritage site and one of the few living forts in the world made of sandstone, and interspersed with beautiful palaces, jain temples and heritage havelis. Later we explore some of the old havelis noted for their architecture and ornate carvings. We will see the havelis of Salim Singh, Nathmal ji & Patwon. We will finish the day with visit to Bara Bagh – a complex of royal cenotaphs and chhatris known for their beautiful architecture. Late afternoon we will drive to Sam for an exciting Camel safari on the sand dunes. Spend time at the dunes and enjoy the beautiful sunset over the dunes.

Morning we head (4- 5 hrs drive) eastward to the second largest city of Rajasthan, Jodhpur, often called the “Blue City” for its vivid blue-painted houses. A stark desert landscape meet with palaces, forts and temples, all enclosed within imposing city walls. Late afternoon we take a jeep safari to the Bishnoi village. The Bishnois are a sect found in the Thar Desert of Rajasthan who follows the tenets of a saint who preached that destroying nature is like harming mankind. This is a great chance to learn about the Bishnoi tribe, a community of staunch vegetarians who has been pivotal in reviving the black buck antelope species from the brink of extinction. You will also witness a traditional “Opium Ceremony”. After the visit we return to the hotel.

First thing in the morning, we visit the magnificent Meherangarh Fort, from where you will have a great view of the blue houses, painted to distinguish them as those of Brahmins. The fort itself looks massive from the outside but inside there is an impressive collection of finely carved sandstone screens and lattice windows, and the palaces themselves are very finely decorated. Later visit Jaswant Thada Beautiful memorial in marble often described as the “Taj Mahal of Marwar” was built by Maharaja Sardar Singhji in 1906 A.D. Later visit the old market and reach back to hotel. Rest of the time is free to explore the city on your own.

After breakfast we drive to Udaipur (4.5 – 5.5hrs drive), en-route visit the beautiful 15th century Ranakpur Jain temple – the main temple, beautifully carved from marble, has 29 halls supported by 1444 pillars, each delicately carved with a different design. Continue with our drive to Udaipur and upon arrival we check in to hotel. Considered as the most romantic city of India, Udaipur is famous worldwide for its plethora of breath-taking lakes and Raj-era palaces. The city is often referred to as the “Venice of the east”.

Early morning at around 06:00hrs, we will start for the refreshing hiking with yoga trip. Trip start with a drive through countryside road till one reach the hiking start point at Badi village. Then we ascend through the forested hill track till you reach the summit. From the summit enjoy beautiful sunrise over the Udaipur countryside. Participate in a yoga session for around 1hr. After this descend from the hill and leisurely walk through the village road enjoying the countryside views. Stop for a countryside picnic breakfast. After breakfast board the vehicle and drive back to hotel. Afternoon start exploring the old city with a visit to the City Palace – built in the year 1725, it is an intriguing collection of buildings contributed by various Maharanas after Udai Singh. Later we will walk through the lanes of the old city till we reach Jagdish Temple – the largest and most beautiful Indo-Aryan temple in Udaipur adorned with noteworthy sculpted images. Late evening we enjoy a sunset boat ride on the lake Pichola witnessing the heritage buildings on the banks of the lake and life of people surrounding the lake.
