Drive your way through the North India’s great cultural route – The Golden Triangle, where every corner of the historic cities of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur has stories hidden in them. Meander through the lanes of the old city markets, meet friendly local people, learn to cook a traditional cuisine and of course get mesmerized with the stunning view of the Taj Mahal. Topping them up with a stay in a 600years old royal residence and go out on a search for the majestic Bengal Tiger at the Ranthambore National Park.

  • 7 nights’ hotel accommodations on twin sharing basis at standard category hotels, including breakfast at all the hotels, except at Ranthambore where breakfast & dinner are included

  • 2 safaris by canter on sharing basis at Ranthambore, accompanied by forest guide.

Itinerary

Day 1Arrive at Delhi, Afternoon Sight Seeing

Arrive at Delhi by international flight. A KVT representative will meet you at the airport and assist you to the vehicle. Later we will be transferred to hotel. Afternoon start Delhi sightseeing. We proceed to Old Delhi and visit Jama Masjid – the largest mosque of Old Delhi built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Later go for an exciting cycle rickshaw ride through lively thoroughfares and bustling alleyways of Old Delhi market rarely visited by typical tourists. Arrive at Khari Baoli and see Asia’s largest wholesale spice market. Our exploration continues as we drive past historic colonial landmarks, such as Rashtrapati Bhawan, Parliament House, and India Gate—a poignant memorial dedicated to soldiers of the First World War. Day 2Drive to Agra, Afternoon visit Agra Fort

After breakfast drive to the Mughal city of Agra (4 – 5hrs drive) and upon arrival check in to the hotel. Afternoon visit the imposing Agra Fort, whose mighty red sandstone walls enclose the beautiful white marble Pearl Mosque and the palaces, halls, courtyards and fountains built by the Mughal emperors. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 3Sunrise visit to Taj Mahal, Drive to Suroth

Early morning we proceed for a sunrise visit to the beautiful Taj Mahal, built by the 5th Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan on the banks of River Yamuna in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. A symbol of eternal love, the Taj Mahal is serenely beautiful and never fails to amaze a first time visitor. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later we transfer (3 – 4hrs drive) to Suroth Mahal, a 600-year-old fort in the city of Hindaun. This former royal residence was once home to the Maharaja Krishna Chandra Pal, though tonight you’ll be the guest of honour! After checking into the hotel and freshening up, we have a 45-minute round trip by camel cart to a century-old Hindu temple. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 4Suroth village walk, Drive to Ranthambore

Start the day with a gentle one-hour walk to a 300-year-old village, where we meet the residents and learn about their daily life. En route, we also visit a local market (haat) and see the community going about their daily tasks, such as creating handicrafts or working in their fields. We return to the hotel in time for a later breakfast. After checkout, we transfer (3 – 4hrs drive) through rural villages to Ranthambore Tiger Reserve; staying in a hotel not far from the park entrance, we’re well located for our two game drives tomorrow. Day 5Ranthambore - morning & afternoon safaris

Ranthambore National Park holds one of the largest populations of Tiger in India. There is other wildlife such as several species of monkey, deer, leopards, foxes and crocodiles, birdlife including purple heron, kingfishers, cormorants, parakeets, Jacanda, waders and partridges. Today we will have 2 game drives into the park by Canter – a large open truck on sharing basis. We wake up early morning and leave for our 1st safari into the National Park. Track the tigers in the wild and other wildlife through the morning. After having lunch, we leave again for our 2nd safari in the park. (Meals: Breakfast & Dinner)

Day 6Drive to Jaipur, Evening cooking demo

Morning drive to the capital city of Rajasthan, Jaipur (3.5 – 4.5hrs drive). Jaipur, popularly known as the “Pink City”, is one of the important heritage cities with a rich cultural heritage and colourful past. Evening we visit the local home to witness and participate in the cooking demo where you will get the chance to learn about the process of making two to three local cuisines. Later enjoy a discussion over dinner with the host and get to know about the unknown facts about the city. (Meals: Breakfast & Dinner)

Day 7Jaipur – Early morning cycling, Afternoon sightseeing

Early morning ride around this wonderful pink city, cycling through its fascinating narrow laneways. Passing Havelis (private mansions) and sacred temples, head for the majestic Albert Hall, which was built to welcome the Prince of Wales on his visit during 1870s. Along the way, stop at popular food stalls where one can sample what the local people enjoy for breakfast. After the ride, back at the hotel to freshen up before heading out for a wonderful day of sightseeing. We visit the fascinating Amer Fort – the hilltop fort built by Kachwaha dynasty ruler Man Singh. Further we visit Jantar Mantar (Solar Observatory) – an astronomical treasure house with solar devices that give accurate predictions till date. We will drive past Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) – a five-storied structure of pink sandstone, specially built as a high screen wall for the women of royal household to observe the street festivities without being noticed from outside. Day 8Back to Delhi & depart

After breakfast transfer back to Delhi (5 – 6hrs drive) and upon arrival head straight to the airport for your fight to onward destination.
