Drive your way through the North India’s great cultural route – The Golden Triangle, where every corner of the historic cities of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur has stories hidden in them.
Meander through the lanes of the old city markets, meet friendly local people, learn to cook a traditional cuisine and of course get mesmerized with the stunning view of the Taj Mahal. Explore the architectural brilliance of some of the beautiful historic monuments in these cities.
Delhi
3 Hours Before Flight Time
Arrive at Delhi by international flight. After being greeted by a KVT representative at the airport, we will be transferred to hotel. Delhi, the vibrant capital of India, offers a captivating blend of rich history and modern tradition that charms every traveler. Afternoon get ready for Delhi sightseeing. We will visit Qutab Minar – a UNESCO World Heritage site, it is a 72.5m tall tapering minaret built of red sandstone and encompassed by several historically significant monuments to form the Qutab complex. Our exploration continues as we drive past historic colonial landmarks, such as Rashtrapati Bhawan, Parliament House, and India Gate—a poignant memorial dedicated to soldiers of the First World War. Later we spend some time at the Sikh religion temple of Gurudwara Bangla Sahib.
Today morning we proceed to Old Delhi and visit Jama Masjid – the largest mosque of Old Delhi built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Later go for an exciting cycle rickshaw ride through lively thoroughfares and bustling alleyways of Old Delhi market rarely visited by typical tourists. Arrive at Khari Baoli and see Asia’s largest wholesale spice market. After this exciting ride, we proceed to Rajghat – the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi converted in to a tranquil memorial with a scenic garden and serene atmosphere. We end the trip with visit to Humayun’s Tomb – tomb of Mughal emperor Humayun built by his widow Hamida Banu Begam, a UNESCO Heritage site.
After breakfast we leave for Agra (4 – 5hrs drive) and upon arrival check in to the hotel. Located on the banks of the river Yamuna, Agra is a city famous for its rich Mughal history and architectural marvels. In the afternoon we will visit the imposing Agra Fort, whose mighty red sandstone walls enclose the beautiful white marble Pearl Mosque and the palaces, halls, courtyards and fountains built by the Mughal emperors.

Early morning we proceed for a sunrise visit to the beautiful Taj Mahal, built by the 5th Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan on the banks of river Yamuna in memory of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. A symbol of eternal love, the Taj Mahal is serenely beautiful and never fails to amaze a first time visitor. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Later we drive to Jaipur (4.5 – 5.5hrs drive), en-route visiting Fatehpur Sikri – the capital of Mughal Emperor Akbar for few years, which reflects his ideals in art, religion and architecture. Upon arrival at Jaipur we check in to hotel. Jaipur, popularly known as the “Pink City”, is one of the important heritage cities with a rich cultural heritage and colourful past.

Early morning ride around this wonderful pink city, cycling through its fascinating narrow laneways. Passing Havelis (private mansions) and sacred temples, head for the majestic Albert Hall, which was built to welcome the Prince of Wales on his visit during 1870s. Along the way, stop at popular food stalls where one can sample what the local people enjoy for breakfast. After the ride, back at the hotel to freshen up before heading out for a wonderful day of sightseeing. We visit the fascinating Amer Fort – the hilltop fort built by Kachwaha dynasty ruler Man Singh. Further we visit Jantar Mantar (Solar Observatory) – an astronomical treasure house with solar devices that give accurate predictions till date. We will drive past Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) – a five-storied structure of pink sandstone, specially built as a high screen wall for the women of royal household to observe the street festivities without being noticed from outside. Evening we visit the local home to witness and participate in the cooking demo where you will get the chance to learn about the process of making two to three local cuisines. Later enjoy a discussion over dinner with the host and get to know about the unknown facts about the city.

After breakfast transfer back to Delhi (5 – 6hrs drive) and upon arrival head straight to the airport for our fight to onward destination.
