Embark on a mesmerizing trek to the gorgeous meadows of Dayara Bugyal in this 7 Day/ 6 Night Uttarakhand adventure. Trek through thick deodar, silver oak and rhododendron forests to reach beautiful and sprawling alpine meadows.

Delhi
3 Hours Before Flight Time
Arrive at Delhi by international flight. A KVT representative will meet you at the airport and assist you to the vehicle. Later transfer to hotel. Afternoon start Delhi sightseeing. We proceed to Old Delhi and visit Jama Masjid – the largest mosque of Old Delhi built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Later go for an exciting cycle rickshaw ride through lively thoroughfares and bustling alleyways of Old Delhi market rarely visited by typical tourists. Arrive at Khari Baoli and see Asia’s largest wholesale spice market. Our exploration continues as we drive past historic colonial landmarks, such as Rashtrapati Bhawan, Parliament House, and India Gate—a poignant memorial dedicated to soldiers of the First World War. After breakfast, departure to Delhi railway station for train to Haridwar. Upon arrival we will drive to Mussoorie (2.5 to 3.5hrs drive) through the winding Himalayan roads. Arrive at Mussoorie and check into the hotel. Rest of the day is free to relax or explore the town on your own. (Meals: Breakfast)
After breakfast we leave Mussoorie and drive to Barsu (4 to 5hrs drive), a small scenic village with beautiful view of the Himalayan ranges and the base camp for the Dayara Bugyal trek. The drive from Dehradun to Barsu passes through some great stretches of pine forests. Upon arrival at Barsu get yourself ready for the first day of the trek. Today we trek from Barsu to Barnala Tal with intermittent ascents. The trail passes through forests of deodar, silver oaks and rhododendrons. This is the area from where the scenic meadow of Dayara begins. The far stretch of green meadows with Himalayan range in the background is a wonderful sight to behold. The trek to Dayara Bugyal is a gradual ascent. We start walking through a dense forest of deodar, silver oaks and rhododendrons which opens into a large meadow with beautiful view. The campsite at Dayara is beautiful, with views of peaks such as Black Peak, Banderpoonch, Srikanth, Jaonli and Rudragaira. After reaching the campsite, we explore the surroundings and unwind. Today is the toughest day of the trek as we summit the Bakaria top – the highest point of the trek. The trail goes through the meadows, initially starting with a gradual ascent and becoming quite steep as we near the top. The magnificent view from the top of the deep valleys and snow laden peaks is mesmerizing. After spending some time here and clicking pictures, it is time to trek back downhill following the same route to Barnala Bugyal, leaving Dayara Bugyal behind. It is the last day of the trek today. We start early and descend to Barsu, retracing the same trail passing through forests of deodar, silver oaks and rhododendrons. At Barsu our trek comes to an end. We board a vehicle and drive to Mussoorie (4.5 to 5.5hrs drive) riding along the winding Himalayan roads offering spectacular views of the mountains and peaks. Arrive at Mussoorie by evening and check into the hotel. (Trekking Time: 2.5 to 3.5 hrs / Driving Time: 4 to 5 hrs / Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
In the morning we drive to the holy town of Rishikesh (2.5 to 3.5 hrs drive) driving downhill, meandering through the winding Himalayan roads. Rishikesh is a small town famous for meditation and yoga and also known as the “Yoga Capital of the World”. Rishikesh is surrounded by scenic beauty of the mountains, with the holy Ganga flowing through it. After checking into the hotel, you are free to relax or explore Rishikesh on your own. Early evening we walk along the Ganga from Laxman Jhula to Ram Jhula and see some temples along the way. We then head to Parmarth Niketan Ashram ghat to witness the Ganga Aarti. (Meals: Breakfast)
Early morning we drive for an hour to reach the Kunjapuri Temple. We witness the sunrise and take in the gorgeous panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges. We then participate in an hour of yoga at the site. After that, we trek downhill for about 8 kms passing through forests, villages and farms. Towards the end of trek we see the gushing the Neer Gaddu Waterfall. Upon reaching the road head we drive back to the hotel. Late morning we get a transfer to Haridwar Railway Station for train to Delhi. Assistance on arrival at the railway station and transfer to hotel.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to airport for international flight back to home country. (Meals: Breakfast)
