Delhi
3 Hours Before Flight Time
Arrive at Delhi by international flight. A KVT representative at the airport. We drive to Bharatpur (3.5 to 4.5 hours drive) and upon arrival check into the hotel. The Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, also known as Keoladeo National Park, is a famous avifauna sanctuary that sees thousands of rare and highly endangered bird species, particularly during the winter season. Over 230 species of birds are known to have made the national park their home. (Meals: Nil)
After an early breakfast we check our bikes for last moment adjustments, followed by a briefing session by the tour leader. We cycle through the bird sanctuary, exploring the various species of birds at the park. This short ride will also get you accustomed to your bike. After this we drive for 45 minutes reach the point from where we start cycling to Karauli. We cycle through many small villages and get to see the way of life. The route is scenic, passing through agricultural fields and small village markets. Upon arrival, we check into an old palace of Jaipur riyasat. In the evening we enjoy live folk music performance, followed by sumptuous dinner. (Cycling distance: Around 45kms / Meals: Breakfast & Dinner)
Early morning we enjoy a camel cart ride through the lanes of the village and get a unique glimpse into the lifestyle and everyday activities as we see locals going about their chores. After this we ride through the village back-roads with stunning countryside views for around 40kms before boarding the accompanying vehicle and drive to our destination for the day – Ranthambore. The Ranthambore National Park is famous for tigers and is one of the best places in the country to see these majestic predators in the wild. One of the largest national parks in the country, Ranthambore is an adventure of its own. Apart from sighting the tiger, we will also come close to seeing various other species of flora and fauna. Early morning we proceed for an exciting shared game drive on a canter at the Ranthambore National Park. The broad range of wildlife here is a wonderful example of ecological adoption and tolerance to the climate which is variable as well as erratic. If lucky, we catch a glimpse of the elusive tiger, who usually camouflage themselves in the forest. After the safari we return to hotel for breakfast and then proceed to Jaipur. We cycle for around 40 to 50kms, riding through the rural countryside and beautiful landscape of Aravali foot hills. After that we board the accompanying vehicle and drive to Jaipur. Arrive at the “Pink City” and check into the hotel. (Cycling distance: Around 40 – 50 kms / Meals: Breakfast)
We start the day with a short drive to Sisodiya Rani Ka Bagh. From here we start cycling towards a nearby village Kanota, exploring Jaipur countryside. We ride along the dry river bed, past the local-brick making factories and stop to take photographs at Kanota Dam. We take a break and enjoy a picnic breakfast at Kanota village. After relaxing and unwinding for some time we ride back to Sisodiya Rani Ka Bagh and then drive back to the hotel. This brings us to the end of our cycling tour. Rest of the day is free to explore the old city and local markets on your own. Optional: Jaipur city sightseeing tour can be arranged on an additional payment, whereby we will visit Amer Fort – the hilltop fort which served as the ancient capital of Kachhawaha dynasty for 6 centuries and the City Palace – a perfect blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture built during the 18th century. After breakfast we will drive to Delhi (4 to 5 hrs.) later transfer to hotel. Optional half day Delhi sightseeing can be arranged at additional cost. (Meals: Packed Breakfast)
After breakfast transfer to airport for international flight back to home country.
